![]() ![]() It was packed last Friday 4th September ![]() Zari Idris gave it a thumbs up for VR's food ![]() You'll enjoy these dishes but only on Fridays So guys, do try their Nunsanta Sungkai Buffet this weekend but also save some space for Friday as well. Because their pasta and roasted iteams are a great seller among the patrons. Have fun, peeps!! And remember, love food and hate waste ;)
----------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() *click to enlarge* Au Lait Cafe is one of those cute new places in Kiulap that I quite like because it employs young locals as the waitstaff. Maybe it’s just me but I find it quite amusing when I can order pasta puttanesca in pure Bruneian. Hehe. For every Friday and Saturdays, Au Lait has a BBQ Sungkai Buffet that is absolutely scrumptious! The selection is small but it has reasonable quality. Quite impressive. I know kimchi, most definitely, and the barbecued meats, and the banchans or the side dishes. Well that’s pretty much it. What I do know is that the Korean ladies eat all this food and they have great skin! Since I very much believe in the philosophy of “we are what we eat”, here I am, in the nice woody interior of Pines Restaurant, hoping to get a taste of what makes Korean ladies all silky smooth. the sungkai buffet is forgettable, with over-cooked grill (or deep fried) chicken which look black and dried, half cooked rice ball at dessert corner, wierd taste look alike california roll, nothing is memorable. The sushi bar is extremely slow in refill or no refill at all.The only things me & my friend feel ok is the cookies n cream and the watermelon.
